Personal Injury: Pedestrian Accident

Accidents between pedestrians and vehicles can often lead to severe trauma and even death.  If a person is involved in an accident where their body is struck by a car, they must be very careful to screen for head trauma and internal injuries.  If you or a loved one has been hit by a car, even at low speed, it is very wise to seek immediate medical attention, especially if the person hit by the car is showing signs of head injury, which include memory loss, headaches, slow uptake in conversation, difficulty concentrating, inability to regain focus once lost, tinnitus (or ringing in the ears), nausea soon after the accident, or blurred vision.  Even if you show no visible signs of injury, it is a good idea to seek medical attention to make sure you are not suffering any internal injuries.

Pedestrian accidents can be complicated because they can involve complex insurance rules and complicated theories of liability. One can often recover even if they were hit by a car while not in a crosswalk.  If you have been injured in a pedestrian accident, please feel free to contact us for a free consultation.
